[Oh yeah, she is still standing in front of the window holding a snow cone. She takes a step back.]
Um... sure. Come in.
[There's not really anywhere to sit, though, if Robin wanted to take a seat. She's put a drop cloth down on her bed and has all of her arrows spread out in an array around where she was sitting, along with two bows and a crossbow. Her empty quiver and utility belt are draped over the desk chair.
It's good to check your equipment regularly. Nothing paranoid about it.]
[She clears the desk chair and then folds the drop cloth in half, covering the arrows and making a space to sit. She does not sit, but there's space now. What a good hostess.]
[ He sits on the bed, almost delicately, blinking at her behind his glasses. He hadn't wanted to mention the kidnapping if he didn't have to, but he's starting to wonder if he should. ]
I just wanted to come by. Say hi. See how you're doing.
[Artemis stares down at him coolly, arms crossed, dark circles under her eyes, and about a million projectiles arranged in neat stacks around her room like a conspiracy theorist preparing for the end of the world.]
[ He sighs, looking out the window and shifting his snow cone from hand to hand. ]
We all did our best. The situation was just far more than we bargained for. You're well within your rights to... you know. Take some downtime. Process it.
[That is... actually kind of a relief to hear. She looks over her equipment.]
I don't suppose you have any collapsible gas masks that fit in a utility belt? I guess the rebreathers could work in a pinch, but they don't cover your nose.
With GPS. That's important. You know, just in case.
[She eats some more snow cone, thinking.]
I had these micro-bead trackers I got from Green Arrow. They were in an oil solution, so you wouldn't even know you were being tracked, you'd just think you'd gotten a grease stain on your clothes. Maybe something like that, so we can track each other without anyone knowing.

He makes a note of it, but he's in no place to judge, given the standard Bat levels of paranoia that he operates under on a daily basis. ]
Uh. I can come back another time, if you're busy.

[ That's vague enough, right? ]
no subject
I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be.
[Artemis, don't do that. That's obnoxious.]
no subject
Look, I know what you're doing, because I do it all the time. You don't have to talk about it, but I wish you wouldn't lie.

... Sorry.

[That sounded a little too much like the bravado from earlier and she sighs.]
Seriously, Robin. I am. It's just... I don't want to be unprepared again.

[ Robin looks out over her arrows again. He gets it. He really does.
He shoots her a tight smile. ]
We get better every time.

[ He taps his chin. ]
I'll look into our options.
no subject
[And that is even more of a relief.]
Also, I think we need some sort of way to communicate with the team without using the comms. Ugh, if only M'gann were here...
[Lets just turn this into a business assets meeting, okay? With snow cones. Artemis takes a bite of hers.]
Hey, this is good. I've never had pineapple before.
no subject
[ Business meetings are better than the alternative. It's something productive they can do without wallowing. ]
Private communicators, huh? That sounds doable. Expensive, but doable.

[A brief pause.]
... that's creepy, isn't it?

... Aaand that's even creepier, isn't it?

Excuse me, I'm a level 20 tech sorcerer.

... Nerd.
[Which reminds her.]
I heard Wally got an interview at a tech company. Maybe he can make himself useful and help.
